There are lots of good spots for paddlingand even (if you can brave the icy water) wild swimming inthe River Rawthey around Sedbergh, with at, pebbled areasoffering easy access to the water. We stayed here for a week at half term to avoid the kids, Paul and Donna are great hosts, the site is beautiful and peaceful apart from the odd tractor (it's in the country), lovely to have the sheep, ponies, ducks and chickens all nearby to watch, great location for walks to and from site, there are maps in the facilities shed. We wanted a rural location with electric hook up and having read the existing reviews, we booked with Donna and Paul for 4 nights in mid July. We do also have a post office just down the road selling cards, gift wrapping and a few provisions. This property offers the ideal setting for an escape to the mountains for tent camping and is available by reservation only to organized youth groups, including but not limited to Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, church youth groups and I don't yet have login details. We do welcome well behaved friendly dogs but do ask that they are kept on a lead while on site due to livestock in adjacent fields. We wanted a rural location with electric hook up and having read the existing reviews, we booked with Donna and Paul for 4 nights in mid July. We do also have a post office just down the road selling cards, gift wrapping and a few provisions. This property offers the ideal setting for an escape to the mountains for tent camping and is available by reservation only to organized youth groups, including but not limited to Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, church youth groups and I don't yet have login details. We do welcome well behaved friendly dogs but do ask that they are kept on a lead while on site due to livestock in adjacent fields.
